It has long been my desire to create a guide that would
provide buyers of Private Residence Club properties an
insider's glimpse of the industry of which I've been lucky
to be a pioneer. Separately, I have wanted to provide
developers of Private Residence Clubs an equally
"inside" glimpse of our fascinating field. I intend this
document to serve both audiences. As it happens, the
considerations important to the individual contemplating
a PRC purchase are the same issues a developer must
integrate into the planning, design, and development
of such a property.
I've had the pleasure, over the years, of working on many
PRC developments, as a development advisor and as a
principal of Spring Creek Partners, Inc. I have spoken
personally with hundreds of development professionals,
and literally thousands of potential owners — many of
whom have become friends. Those valued interactions
have inevitably been enlightening to me, often in
unexpected ways. I count it as my good fortune to be able
to share some of the resulting insights and observations
with you here.
